Today, the Great and Glorious Caliph announced the completion of a new military vehicle, the Ayyubid All-Terrain Armored Vehicle, or AAAV. The Ayyubid All-Terrain Armored VehicleThe Ayyubid has been designed for traversing terrain that other vehicles would find serious trouble doing. It can move at very high speeds even on very mountainous terrain. It works as an amphibious vehicle in up to ten feet of water, meaning rivers are no great wall for the Ayyubid. It is capable of carrying up to ten tonnes of equipment and/or personnel in the carrier area at the back. It is equipped with a lighter version of the E.R.A. armor used in the Saladin Main Battle Tank, to protect the vehicle from explosives and other attacks directed at the vehicle. It comes with three weapon systems, a high-caliber machine gun controlled remotely from inside the vehicle, a second high-caliber machine gun on the top, operated by a man protected by a plate of armor, and finally, several grenade launchers, capable of firing both lethal and non-lethal grenades. The Ayyubid comes equipped with advanced communication equipment and a firing control system much like the Saladin, but adapted for the lighter weaponry. It is just as versatile as it's heavier counterpart, with capabilities as an armored personnel carrier, support vehicle, or main attack vehicle. The Caliph was quoted as saying "The Ayyubid is a true show of the military genius of the Caliphate."

The Kingdom is noting a increased production in battle gear for the Caliphate, though it is pleased at the progress being made here, we hope this weaponry will be used in good ways, and not for evil and ill to others.
The Kingdom itself prefers to keep its military advancements to itself till it sees fit to release any details about it. The only thing that will be said here is that Coldlyn has developed many new weapons of War, and will release this information in due course.

The increase of battle equipment is a proud fact in the Caliphate. Our people rejoice in our discoveries, and we see no reason to hide them away. However, we understand the need to keep quiet any new revelations that may prove to be ill fated.

Agreed, but we prefer our own discoveries to remain in our own hands so they cant be used against us. It also makes us powerful and unpredictable in case of a war.

Well, I see no way a new discovery could be used against you if you protect it well. And while it makes you unpredictable, hiding a weapon makes it no more powerful.

I agree with your method of thinking. But you gave a pretty detailed rundown of your vehicle. And though you did not say everything, that is pretty detailed. An enemy would know exactly what weaponry you have. We from the Kingdom of Coldlyn are not warmongers, and we don't boast a huge army, but we are prepared, and very careful

Indeed. We do speak openly about what it is equipped with. However, we do not share the things we mention. I can talk all day about the loadout of my vehicles, it makes them no less dangerous.

We realise this fact, but there is deadliness with the powerful weapon of surprise and unpredictability. You boast loudly of your military power and achievements, while we keep our advancements quite, and do not seek to boast, but any enemy of Coldlyn will feel the sting of our weapons when they are presented with them.
The advantage of secrecy is that your enemy and peers will never know exactly what they are up against, and that is an advantage for us.

The Caliph is most confident that his weapons will still be of use in times of war, whether our enemy knows about them or not. After all, when you've made your big reveal, you can't hide it again.
